Charles Duane Michael, 85 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman. Duane was born in Clinton County, Ohio on July 13, 1932, the son of the late James Estel and Mary Evalee (McClure) Michael.
Beside his parents, he was also preceded by his son, James Michael. Duane was a lifelong farmer, served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, AMVets #61 Hillsboro, Highland County Antique Tractors Club and enjoyed reading and gardening.
Duane is survived by his wife, Irene (Wylie) Michael whom were married on September 16, 1967; two grandsons, Christopher James (Brandy) Michael and Tyler Shorten of Hillsboro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wandalee and Eddie Moore of Winchester, OH.; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
