Nancy Lou Flynn

Nancy Lou Flynn, 71, of Washington Court House, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at 8:40 a.m. at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville where she had been a patient since Friday.

Nancy was born October 22, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio to Donald Louis (Gig) and Mary Catherine (Katie) Knapp Moore.  She was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School and was a lifelong resident of this community. 

She had been a receptionist at Hartley Oil for the past 25 years and had formerly worked at Moore’s Fruit and Garden Store and Moore’s Adcrafters.

Nancy attended the Grace United Methodist Church; loved flowers and was an avid gardener and bird watcher.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2010; her mother in 2014, and her first husband, Gary R. Kirkpatrick in 1992.

She is survived by her husband, Michael T. Flynn whom she married June 22, 1999; a son, Kevin (Denise) Kirkpatrick of Columbus; a daughter, Kelli (Scott) McCoy of Jeffersonville; a step-son, Scott (Kris) Flynn of Sabina; four grandchildren, Katie (Kyle) Montgomery, Caleb Kirkpatrick, Kirk McCoy and Kiersten Kirkpatrick; a step grandson, Taylor Flynn; a sister, Mary Ann Moore and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation took place.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 4 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
