Sondra G. Osborne, 79, of Wilmington, Ohio (formerly of Centerville, Ohio) went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2017 after a brief illness. Sondra was born October 16, 1938 in Franklin, Ohio, beloved daughter of the late George T. and Maude Hensley Owens. Sondra was a 1956 graduate of Franklin High School. She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Phyllis Dumford and Barbara King.
Sondra retired from DESC. She had also worked at the VA in Dayton and Wright Patterson Air Force Base where she met her husband Don. Sondra was a gifted pianist. She started playing piano in her church at age 14 and she continued to use her talent to serve in many churches throughout her lifetime.
Left to honor Sondra and remember her love are her beloved husband of 60 years, Don; her children, Mark (Wendy) Osborne of Denver, Colorado; Teresa (Thad) Johnson of Geneva, Illinois and Susan (Scott) Young of Cleveland, Ohio; her eight grandchildren, Jackson Osborne, Tess Osborne, Ben (Amy) Johnson, Nick (Amanda) Johnson, Natalie (Luke) Munch, Robbie (Sydney) Johnson, Lee Young, and Clayton Young; and six great grandchildren, Annabelle Johnson, Alden Johnson, Eamonn Johnson, Ezekiel Munch, Caedmyn Munch, and Maevelynn Munch.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Sondra touched are invited to the Visitation on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio, and to the service at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home with Sondra's son-in-law, Pastor Scott Young officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Cemetery, Waynesville, Ohio.
