JUDITH ANN LONGBERRY, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 5:35 p.m. at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1945 in Clinton County to Raymond and Easter Evelyn Kerr Valentine. Judi was a graduate of Wilmington High School. She had most recently been employed at the Yusa Corporation as a security supervisor. She enjoyed puzzle books, reading, coloring, painting, and being with her family and grandchildren.
Judi was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Carolyn Stapleton, and Ronald Valentine; twin sister, Joyce Ann Curtis; sister-in-law, Connie Bellar; and brother-in-law, John Hartley.
Survivors include her husband, Al Longberry, whom she married on November 8, 1992; her children, Michael James (Diane) King, Sandra Elizabeth (Michael) Medley, Nicholas King and his fiancé, Mindy Hapner, Samantha (Justin) Rupar, Chad (Chasity) Longberry, and Nicholas (Rebecca) Longberry; seventeen grandchildren; great-grandson, Phillip Medley coming in January of 2018; siblings, Richard (Lucinda) Valentine, Charles (Alice) Valentine, Samuel (Deborah) Valentine, Robert (Michelle) Valentine, James (Vicky) Valentine, William (Shawn) Valentine, Linda Hartley, Mary (Guy) House, and Pamela (Steve) Schaefer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda Bennett, Cathy Coy, David (Sally) Massie, Raymond Longberry, and Stephen Longberry; and her loving canine companion, Harley Davidson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Clary officiating with burial to follow at the Centerville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
