Shirley E. Short, 80 years of Peebles, passed away on Friday October 6, 2017 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born on February 9, 1937 in Hodge, TX the daughter of the late Bob & Louise (Allison) Garner. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband Leo Short who passed on December 9, 2016, and one sister Bobbie Sue Estes.
Shirley Attended the Peebles Nazarene Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, Paul McFarland of Kingston, KS; one grandson; two sisters, Annette (Jack) Frazier of Texas, and Paula (Dwayne) Guthrie of Texas; brother-in-law Ray Short of Sinking Spring; three sister-in-laws, Flossie Gall of Hillsboro, Wanda Short of Sinking spring, and Florence Workman of Peebles; several nieces, nephews, cousins & a host of friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday October 9, 2017 at the Wylie Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Friends and family may call from 10:00AM until the time of service on Monday October 9, 2017 at the funeral home in Sinking Spring. Burial will follow at Washburn Cemetery in Latham OH.
The family asks that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity in honor of Shirley.
