Mattie Lee Weinman, 94, of Dayton, Ohio (formerly of Wilmington) died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Her husband, Carl W. “Mike” Weinman Jr., preceded her in death June 23, 2003. They were married September 29, 1951. Mrs. Weinman was born July 22, 1923 in Barbourville, Kentucky, daughter of the late William and Minerva Mae Peters Cannon.
Mrs. Weinman was a beautician in Dayton and later in Clinton County. She had been a member of the Lumberton United Methodist Church and the Port William Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Edward E. Crosthwaite of Dayton, Ohio, and her nieces and nephew, Lisa Baltes, Phyllis Dieker, and Ronnie Cannon. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Gorman Cannon, two sisters, Marie Crosthwaite and Opal Lee Cannon, and a niece, Sissy Hague, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
