WCH Kiwanis Conducts Candidates Night

The Washington Court House Kiwanas held a Meet the Candidates Night on Monday at the Crown Room. Candidates for Washington City Council all addressed the issue of teacher retention. 

City Council candidate, Caleb Johnson, referred to the "quality of life" aspect."We need to target entertainment sector businesses," said Johnson. "We need to cater to those business owners that want to start up here. We need to give people something to do."

"I think helping teachers find housing is what it takes," said incumbent candidate Dale Lynch. "I believe once they've been here for a little while, they're going to stay."

The General Election takes place Tuesday, November 7th.
