As NASA and other space travel organizations continue to try to figure out how to take longer space trips – maybe to Mars – scientists are working on ways to provide food and water for those trips.
Some of those scientists from Clemson University believe they can find a way to turn astronaut pee into food. Not only that, they’re also working on a way to turn that pee into different kinds of plastics that can be used for tools out there. (Vice)
