W. Charlene Yeakley, 85, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was born February 3, 1932 in New Vienna, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and M. Thelma Frost Johnson. Charlene was a 1950 graduate of New Vienna High School.
Survivors include children Larry J. (Danna) Akers, Gary L. Akers, William Akers, Steve (Dawn) Yeakley, Jacqueline (Tim) Branham, Cindy (Don) Maher, Kenneth “Dutch” Yeakley; sister, Sharon (Sidney) Berger; brother, Larry (Mae) Johnson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Charlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Akers, Jr, on July 4, 1960 and her second husband, Kenneth W. Yeakley on January 15, 2017; a grandson Bradley Akers and a daughter-in-law, Regina “Hobie” Blair Yeakley.
Per their wishes, Charlene and her husband, Kenneth, will be laid to rest together 11:00 AM, Monday, August 14, 2017 at the New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Pastor James Brown officiating.
The family would especially like to thank her very special neighbors, Julie and Sam.
