The Unified Christian Men's Chorus will be in concert on Sunday evening, August 20, at 6:00 p.m. at the Southside Church of Christ, 921 S. Fayette Street, Washington C.H. This chorus is in its fifth year, and consists of 35 men from Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties. Current and past residents of this group who are from Fayette County are: Jim Blair, Bob Brown, Bill Creager, Bill Cupp, Larry East, Jim Luck, Larry Milstead, Bob and Meda Pittser, Troy Roush, Dana Taylor, Richard Taylor and Howard Wright.
The primary focus of this chorus is Gospel Music. The men sing timeless classics, uplifting and inspiring Gospel songs, and rousing versions of our nation's rally cries and heart warmers. The 4-part harmony and the sweet melodies will offer those in attendance an opportunity to sing along.
In addition to the men's group, Patrick Roush, a local country singer/songwriter from Lynchburg will be featured. Patrick, now 22, will graduate this year from Morehead State University. Recently Patrick released his debut all original album, "Stronger" which has sold hundreds of copies in stores and online.
This August the concert is open to the public, and there is no admission fee. If you like Gospel music sung by male voices, you won't want to miss this event!
