Cecil Smith Jr., age 55, of Midland, Ohio, passed away early Sunday morning, August 6, 2017 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born October 23, 1961 in Hillsboro, Ohio, son of Charles Cecil "Chuck" Smith and Bonnie Louise Moore Smith.
Cecil was a member of Bellham Baptist Church. He was a devoted family man, loving father, and a great friend..
In addition to his parents, surviving family members are his wife, Wanda Smith, whom he married on March 27, 1986, daughter, Lora Elizabeth (Richard McNicholas II) Smith of Lynchburg, three grandchildren, Trevor Whitaker, Khlowie Smith, and Braydon McNicholas, sister, Peggy (Jeff) Perkins, two brothers, Tom (Marie) Smith, and Henry (Vera Kassen) Smith, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charles was preceded in death by his nephew Dusty Smith and an uncle, Dickey Smith.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Arnold Smith officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
