Betty Jean Wonderleigh, 82, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Friday, August 4, 2017, at 4:46 p.m. at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a patient since October 18, 2016.
Betty was born November 22, 1934, in Frankfort, Ohio to William Thomas and Bertha Kathryn Fannin Kinnamon. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School and moved to Washington Court House in 1958 from Chillicothe.
She spent many years in local retail sales and was longtime manager of the Martha Washington Shop and Boylan Jewelers.
Betty was a member of the Heritage Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union and was well known as a judge of pageants locally and in surrounding communities.
Betty will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and mother who catered to her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She leaves a legacy of love and service to her family and community.
On June 26, 1955, she married George H. Wonderleigh. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Deborah Ingram and her husband, Walter, and Brenda Hall, all of Washington Court House; four grandchildren, Lindsey Junod and her husband, Ryan, of North Ridgeville, OH, Amanda Ingram of Columbus, Ryan Hall and Brandon Hall, both of Washington Court House; three great grandchildren, Addison and Oliver Junod and Gracie Hall; a brother-in-law, Leslie Wonderleigh of Chillicothe and special friends, Karen Wilson and Kim Bick. Betty’s family gives special thanks to Kris and Whitney from Heartland Hospice for their kind and loving care given to Betty.
The funeral will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 6 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union with the Rev. Joy Stanforth, associate pastor at the church, officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Highlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 4 p.m. until time of the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
