Betty Mae Rudduck

Betty Mae Rudduck, 90, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 9 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a resident since June 3.

 Betty was born January 3, 1927, in New Holland, Ohio to Thomas Wadsworth and Bertha Mae Ater Doyle and was a 1945 graduate of New Holland High School.  She lived most of her life in New Holland and Washington Court House.

Before her retirement, she was a deli clerk at Ev’s Fine Foods and had formerly worked at Bill’s Super Duper.  She had also been a waitress at the White Cottage Restaurant in New Holland.

Betty was an avid bowler and was a former city champion.  She had been a member of the Women’s Bowling Association and had served as secretary/treasurer.

 She was preceded in death by her husband L. Wayne Rudduck on April 24, 2005; an infant grandson, Christian Rudduck; five brothers, Herbert, James, Charles Richard (Dick), Jack and Gene Doyle; two sisters, Fanny Davey and Mary Jane Doyle; two half-brothers, Todd and Willard Doyle; and two half-sisters, Artie Ellars Stewart and Louise Rutherford.

 Betty is survived by four children and their spouses, Doug and Stacy Rudduck of Dublin, Ohio, Mary Ann and Ray Smith, Jeri and Tony Sword, and Tina and Roger Wilson, all of Washington Court House; ten grandchildren, Zack Smith, Cassie  DeWees and her fiancée, Chris Cook; Seth, Emily, Aaron and his wife, Ariel, and Sadie Kay Rudduck, Isic Sword and his wife, Briton, Olivia Clay and her husband, Zach, Nicholas Wilson and his wife, Jackie, and Nathan Wilson; two step grandchildren, Jennifer Belcher and Shannon Sword and his wife, Kellie; 17 great grandchildren, Garrett, Kyleigh, Isabella, Lillian, Noah, Adeline, Max, Desmond, William, Xaiden, Isaiah, Kinzley, Hallie, Brenna, Colton, Charlee and Cayden; a sister, Geraldine (Jerry) Doyle and a sister-in-law, Sue Doyle, both of Washington Court House; numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews and cousins.  Special thanks is extended to Rebecca and Kris from Heartland Hospice for their loving care they provided Betty and her entire family.

The funeral will be Friday, July 28, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will follow in Highlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
