Randy Dean Maag, SR., age 61, of Washington C.H. passed away peacefully at his home on July 21, 2017.
He was born on November 11, 1955 in Washington CH to the late Robert and Joane (Manbevers) Maag and had lived most of his life in this area. Randy enjoyed buying and restoring old cars. His family described him as one of the best-known notaries in Fayette County and can only imagine the number of titles and documents that he has notarized over the years. Randy also enjoyed attending tent revivals. He loved sharing his love for the lord in conversation as well as with music and singing. His singing and karaoke can still be enjoyed today thanks to his many internet videos.
Along with his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his wife Melodie Maag.
Surviving are his children Randy Maag, Jr. of Greenfield and Edward Carmen, Jr. and several grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Gregory, Larry, and Jeffrey, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until the time of service.
