Claude Keim, 78, of Washington C.H., passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017 at Fayette Memorial Hospital. He was born February 2, 1939 in Ronceverte, WV to the late Claude and Cora Vail Keim. He was a 1957 graduate of Rainelle High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 - 1962. He worked as a printer for various companies in the area including Armco, NCR, Monarch Printing, Wittenberg University and The Print Shop before retiring from the State of Ohio. He also taught graphic arts at the Ohio Veterans' Childrens Home in Xenia, and was active in the local radio-controlled aviation community as a member of Fayette Model Aviators and Clinton Model Aviators.
In addition to his parents, Claude is preceded in death by a brother James Keim. He is survived by three sons David (Wendy) Keim of Waverly, Michael (Rebecca) Keim of Gainesville GA, Christopher (Diana) Keim of Monrovia, CA, daughter Teresa (Tom) Carter of Downers Grove, IL, grandchildren Benjamin (Katie) Keim, Kyle (Laura) Keim, Tonya (Keith) Gephart, Madison Keim , Michael Keim , great-grandchildren Kari Flowers, Ayden Gephart, Tytus Keim, Easton Gephart, Clara Keim, Hunter Keim, and Evalyn Keim. He is also survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Virginia Keim of Mexico Beach, FL
Graveside services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville with Pastor Keith Clary officiating on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 10:30 AM.
