Lucille Morris, 84, of Frankfort, died at 4:29am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at her daughter’s home. She was born on September 21, 1932 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Walker W. and Clara E. Slager Overly. On May 24, 1956 she married James E. “Cork” Morris, who preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2003.
She is survived by her children, Danny L. (Gwen) Morris of Chillicothe, Michael A. Morris of Frankfort, Bruce D. (Deb) Morris of Chillicothe, Cheryl L. (Larry) Morris of Clarksburg, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister Ruth Cokonougher of Ft. Walton Beach FL, and her cat, Toby. She was preceded in death by one son, David E. Morris, one daughter-in-law, Teresa Morris, two sisters, Kathryn Smith and Martha Phillips, and one brother, Chauncey “Red” Overly.
Lucille was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School and a member of the Austin United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, April 28, 2017 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Pastor Phillip Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Morris family on Thursday from 6 to 8p.m..
