Nick Macke, age 49, of Port William, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 21, 2017 at home.
He was born July 27, 1967 in Wilmington, Ohio son of Arthur Romer Macke Jr. and Kathy Jo Holthaus Macke.
Nick was a 1986 graduate of Wilmington High School and he worked for John Webb Roofing as a carpenter. Nick loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing, mushroom hunting, or arrow head hunting. He loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are his father and mother, Art and Kathy Macke, of Port William, wife of 28 years, Tammy Barney, two sons, Christopher "Nicky" Macke and Devon Macke, daughter, Kayla Macke, three grandchildren, McKenzie, Aiden, and Emberey, two sisters, Kimberly (Bill) Swearingen of Port William and Lanna (Randy) Fair of Sabina, brother, Artie Macke, III of Port William, paternal grandmother, Deloris Macke of Wilmington, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, April 26, 2017 at 3:00 pm with Deacon Robert Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Trautwein Cemetery, Lynchburg.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
