Vaughn Ayers Burton, 86 of Lynchburg passed away April 12, 2017 at the Hospice of Dayton with his family by his side.
Mr. Burton is survived by his wife of 31 years, Juianna (Barker) Burton of Lynchburg, whom he married January 4, 1986; two sons, Vaughn Randall (Brenda Knisley) Burton and Russell Ervin (Christine) Burton both of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Sasha (Brian) Zavacky of Evans City, PA and Sheena (Tyler) Henry of Wilmington; one great granddaughter, Addison Zavacky and a great grandson, Owen Russell Zavacky; three sisters-in-law, Roseann Burton of St. Martin, OH, Linda Barker of Smyrna, Georgia, Catherine Futch of Smyrna, GA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 22, 2017 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will take place following the memorial service on Saturday April 22nd in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 22nd at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home.
