Russel W. Burchett, Sr., 63 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday April 16, 2017 at the Highland District Hospital, in Hillsboro.
He was born in Sinking Spring, OH on September 27, 1953, the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Thompson) Burchett. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Burchett and one granddaughter Nikki Burchett.Russel owned and operated Highland Excavating .Russel is survived by his wife, Kitty (Oppy) Burchett; two sons Mickey (Missy Clark) Waters of Hillsboro and Russel W. "Birchie" Burchett, II of Hillsboro; two daughters Mistey (Brandon Vance) Burchett of Hillsboro and Rachel (Jamie) Reed of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren, Logan Burchett, Stormi Waters, Raini Waters, Baylee Carey, Emma Williams, Evon Williams, Easton Williams, Ermie Reed and Ella Reed; three brothers Orva Gragg of Hillsboro, Milton Gragg of Hillsboro and Rodney Burchett of Houston, TX; three sisters Mary Williams of Hillsboro, Edith Urban of TX and Helen Van Lieu of Hillsboro, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday April 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Life Assembly, 12145 North Shore Drive, Hillsboro, OH. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday April 21, 2017 at the Greater Life Assembly.
