Donald E. Burge, 85, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Manor in Washington C.H, Ohio. His wife, Betty J. Burge preceded him in death February 13, 2017. He was born December 15, 1931 in Warren County, Ohio, son of the late Henry and Ada Burge. He was a graduate of Adams Township High School.
Mr. Burge trained, showed, and sold Quarter Horses and various other horses. He also raised, trained, and sold coon dogs and Border Collies. He was a founding member of the Clinton County Saddle Club. He enjoyed trail riding.
Mr. Burge is survived by a son, Frank Burge of Wilmington, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Tara L. (Randy) McCall of Wilmington, Ohio and Larry Thompson of Spring Valley, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Springfield Friends Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
