Theodore Dwayne “Teddy” “Blue Spirit Warrior” Meade, 53, of Hardtner, Kansas (formerly of Martinsville, Ohio) lost his battle with cancer Monday, April 3, 2017 in Kiowa, Kansas with the love of his life, Cathy Edstrom, by his side. Mr. Meade was born May 1, 1963 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Cecil Meade Sr. and Bulah Mullins Meade of Martinsville, Ohio. He was a longtime welder for MSI.
In addition to his parents, and his companion, Mr. Meade is survived by two sisters, Peggy Sewell of Martinsville, Ohio and Cindy Meade of Wilmington, Ohio; a brother, Cecil (Jane) Meade Jr. of Martinsville, Ohio; a son, Tyler Robinson of Hillsboro, Ohio; two daughters, Tyana Myers of Wilmington, Ohio, and Laura Hunt of Lynchburg, Ohio; three stepsons, Chad Rehn of Alva, Oklahoma, Alan (Kim) Edstrom of Hardtner, Kansas, and Mike Edstrom of Alva, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
