Dennis Howsmon, age 64, of the Taylorsville Community, passed away Sunday morning, April 2, 2017 at the Cincinnati Veterans Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1952 in London, Ohio, son of Edward Keith Howsmon and Betty Thelma Bauerle.
Dennis was an United States Air Force Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and had been involved in antiquing with his wife for 30 years.
Dennis loved working on and restoring motorcycles. As a child he lived and worked on his family's dairy farm in London, Ohio. In high school he was involved in basketball, 4-H, and FFA. Dennis would show cattle at the fairs, having one State Champion.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie Howsmon, whom he married on August 30, 1986, daughter, Sarah Howsmon of Cincinnati and his mother, Betty Pullins of Grove City, niece, Amie (Jim) Fox, nephew Josh (Erin) Holland, great-nephew, Eli Holland, uncle Ron (Jan) Howsmon, aunt, Nanciane Snyder, and several cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Beth Holland.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, with Pastor Josh Book officiating. Friends will be received Friday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of the services.
