Ernest L. Hill, 95, of Greenfield, died at 1:40p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born August 30, 1921 in Ross County, the son of the late Guy H. and Bertha M. Crabtree Hill. On February 18, 1943 he married the former Mille Boldman who preceded him in death on January 2, 2009.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Harold, Ralph and Walter Hill.
Ernest was a graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Ferno Washington for 62 years until his retirement in April of 1969.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 7:00p.m. in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Phil Cosby and Roger Dillard (Mountain Man) officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. His cremains will be buried at a later date beside his wide Millie, in Hardins Creek Cemetery.
