WINIFRED ANN BROWN, age 59, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2:35 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
She was born on April 21, 1957 in Fayette County to Elding and Loretta Jackson Lee. She was a 1976 graduate of Washington High School and a 2012 graduate of Southern State Community College. Winifred previously worked as a drug and dependency counselor and most recently worked as an assistant at The Well at Sunnyside. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Washington CH but also attended the First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. She enjoyed cooking, camping, vacationing, planning events, and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.
Winifred was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Jimmy L. Dotson.
Survivors include her husband, David Brown, whom she married on October 25, 2002; children, Tanika Dotson, William “Billy” (Julie) Garrett, Shayna Garrett, Burl Brown, and Myron Brown; grandchildren, Alaysia, Mallorie, Kyle, Trevor, Marcell, and Aries; brothers, Carl (Toni) Hitches, and Wilbur Lee. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church, 1867 SR 35 NW, with Pastor Lester Sanders officiating. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
