Helen I. Ross, 86 of Washington Court House, passed away on March 14, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born March 26, 1930 in Fayette County to the late Fred and Mary Bowdle Burr. Helen’s life revolved around her Family, Faith and her job at Washington C.H. City School where she retired in 2000 as Eastside Elementary school librarian. Helen was a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church where she served on various committees as well as being active with women’s circle and served as the superintendent of Sunday school.
In addition to her parents Helen is preceded in death by her Husband Harold Ross, Brother Bill Burr, Sisters Betty Ann Morris, Mary Lou Joseph, sister and brother in laws Wanda and Paul King and Ruth and Elmer Whited.
Helen is survived by her sons Steve (Belinda) Ross of Washington C.H., David Ross of Washington C.H.; sister Norma Wilson of Washington C.H.; sister in law Marilene Burr of Washington C.H.,and four grandchildren Erin Ross of Lexington KY, Jamie (Brandon) Kirby of Centerville, Pyper Ross of Hillsboro and Courtney (Patrick) Vasil of Columbus; special friends Ann Blake, Erma Clark and Barbara Leggett and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 18th 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Home, Washington Court House with Dale Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday March 17th, 2017 from 4-7PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
