Mitchell Lewis Allen,
Age 82, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Friday evening, February 24, 2017 at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born October 7, 1934 in Hillsboro, Ohio, son of the late Delbert & Mildred (Hawthorne) Allen. He married Shirley Dunham Allen, who passed away on November 21, 2001.
Mitchell was a farmer.
Surviving are his 2 sons- Kenneth (Regina) Allen & Dennis Allen; 2 daughters- Jeanette (Jerry) Jenkins & Jennifer (Gilbert) Roll, all of Wilmington; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother- John (Delane) Allen, Lynchburg; & sisters- Ruth (Terry) Moore, Darlene Michael, Veda Elam, Violet Ditterline, Sarah McConnaughey, all of Lynchburg & Joyce (Rex) Setter), Peebles, OH.
In addition to his parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by his sister- Mary Garret.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Dave Hinman officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William, OH.
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM, Thursday, March 2 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
