Betty Lou Walls, 84, of Washington Court House died Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 6:16 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a resident since January 25.
Betty was born August 14, 1932, in Junction City, Ohio to William and Hallie Taylor and lived most of her life in Washington Court House.
Before her retirement, she was a beautician and had worked many years at the Colony Beauty Solon in Washington Court House.
She was a member of the South Side Church of Christ.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Burl Walls on February 18, 2003; a granddaughter, Mallory Ann Hedrick on August 12, 1995; a brother, William (Junior) Taylor and three sisters, Ellen Thompson, Glenna Knight and Barbara Carroll.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Ann and Rick Hedrick of Washington Court House; two grandchildren, Maggie Hedrick and Matthew Hedrick and his girlfriend, Maggie Avilla, and her daughter, Ruth Elyse Avilla, all of Washington Court House; a sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Gene Leckrone and a half brother, James May, all of Thornville, Ohio.
The funeral will be Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 12 Noon until time of the service.
