Margaret Ruth Leckrone, 86, of New Holland, Ohio died Friday, February 17, 2017, at 2:13 a.m. at Mount Carmel West in Columbus where she had been a patient since February 9.Ruth was born March 24, 1930, in New Holland, Ohio to Pearl and Martha Marie Wilson Sutton. She lived most of her life in the New Holland community.Before her retirement, she was a caregiver and had formerly worked as an aide at the Orient State Institute.She was a member of the New Holland Church of Christ.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Leckrone in 1994; a brother, James Sutton in 1983, and a sister, Betty Swift Free in 1998.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steven E. and Linda Kay Flack of Gatlinburg, TN; a grandson, J.D. Flack and his wife, Sarah, of Clayton, NY; three great grandchildren, Noah Aaron, Micah Grace and Asher Andrew Flack; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Kathy Camp.In keeping with her wishes, cremation took place.A graveside service will take place at a later date in the New Holland Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Humane Society, 153 South Main Street, Washington Court House, Ohio.Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.www.kirkpatrickfuneralhome.com
