Evelyn Marie Hixon, 69, of Hillsboro, died Monday, February 13, 2017, at 10:49 a.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Court House where she had been residing since December.
She was born March 1, 1947, in Greenfield, Ohio to Norman and Elizabeth Neven Miller and was a graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School in Greenfield.
Evelyn was a fine Christian woman who deeply loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, James B. Hixon whom she married December 9, 1990; three children, Carl Cottrell and his wife, Christie, Sandy Barnett and her husband, James, and Bob Cottrell, all of Greenfield; two step children, Hillary Gunn of Hillsboro and Brittany Hixon of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Steve Miller of Hillsboro and a sister, Joyce Miller of Washington Court House.
The funeral was held Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
Pallbearers for the burial in Washington Cemetery were Carl Cottrell, Bret Pulse, Brenan Schreader, Brad Howard, Jim Barnett and Jimmy Barnett, Jr.
