Bernice Lenore Batten, 90, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Monday, February 13, 2017. Her husband, Noel O. Batten, preceded her in death February 7, 2012. They were married November 20, 1948. She was born July 5, 1926 in Sardinia, Ohio. She graduated from Miami University Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in education. She was a member of the Washington C.H. Church of Christ.
Mrs. Batten is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Gary P. & Marge Batten and Teri Tamplin; and three grandchildren, Eric (Jessie) Batten, Ashley E. Batten, and Paul Batten. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Weis Stephan, and a son, Gregg Batten.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
