United States Tennis Association Recommends Against Playing

Tennis is among the activities people can cross off during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The United States Tennis Association released a statement Friday advising that the sport should not be played during the ongoing crisis.

The organization said it is believed COVID-19 can be passed through common sharing of tennis balls, gate handles, benches, net posts, and even court surfaces.

On Wednesday, Wimbledon was canceled for the first time since World War Two.
