Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic Inducting Three to Hall of Fame

The Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic will host five games this Friday, with one girls game getting things started, followed by four boys games.


The schedule of game are:

Zane Trace vs Berne Union- 10am

Huntington vs Nelsonville York- noon

Westfall vs McClain- 2pm

Washington CH vs Logan Elm- 4pm

Zane Trace vs Amanda Clearcreek- 6pm


Three individuals are being inducted into the Tip-Off Classic Hall of Fame. They are:

Ann Blake- senior vice president of Kingston National Bank, where she has served over 40 years.


1972 Zane Trace graduate Dave Hammond was a member of the 1970 Pioneers state semifinal basketball and baseball team. Hammond was ZT's 4th all-time leading scorer and was a two-time All Ohioan before going on to play college basketball at University of Southern Mississippi. He has been an assistant coach for 20 years, including Chillicothe's 2008 state champion squad.


Pierce Mowery is a 2016 Zane Trace graduate, where he lettered in six varsity sports. Pierce was All Ohioan in football, basketball, baseball and track. He is the Pioneer's second all-time leading scorer in basketball, was District and SVC Player of the Year. He was also SVC Player of the Year in baseball.
