The Way Football Camp


The Way Football Camp is now in its 9th year. This is a faith-based instructional football camp for those young men entering 4th-9th grade this fall. The camp theme will be how to become a football player and how to become a Christian. 


Their team bible verse will be (1 Timothy 6:12);  "Fight the good fight of faith, take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses".


The Way Football Camp will be held July 9th through 12th at Chillicothe Baptist Church, located at 14000 State Route 104, with camp times between 9:30am-3pm. 


Sign up deadline Is July 1st.  


Coaches include: 

Walt Petzel– two time SVC lineman of the year, currently a thrower for the Kent State University Track Team 

Gabe Birkhimer- All SVC quarterback, SVC Back of the year currently plays for Indiana Wesleyan 

Tanner Kunz – All SVC lineman, currently studying for Ministry at Cedarville University 

Special Guest Coach on Tuesday will be Roy Hall- Former Ohio State University receiver. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Hall was also a member of the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions. Roy is currently president and co-founder of the Columbus, OH-based non-profit Driven Foundation, established in 2008. 


The camp is free to attend, with lunch and drinks provided at no charge. 


Camp members should wear shorts, T-shirt, Athletic shoes (cleats are fine). Campers should come with a good attitude and willingness to learn. They also need a completed medical form including signature from Parent/Guardian.
