Country Stars Unleash Adrenaline-Rushing Anthems For 'Twisters' Thriller

Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll and many other powerhouse singer-songwriters make up the 29-track Twisters soundtrack album that arrived along with the long-awaited film on Friday (July 19).

Twisters, a modern thriller with a nod to the 1990s blockbuster, follows “a retired tornado-chaser and meteorologist (who) is persuaded to return to Oklahoma to work with a new team and new technologies.” The movie was directed by Lee Isaac Chung, and stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos, among others.

Combs was first to release a single from the star-studded Twisters soundtrack earlier this year. He performed alongside storm chasers in the adrenaline-filled music video for “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” which features a cameo from NASCAR race driver John Hunter Nemechek. Since then, several other artists have unleashed everything from electrifying anthems to emotional ballads ahead of the soundtrack’s release.

Other artists who released Twisters songs in recent months include Miranda Lambert (“Ain’t In Kansas Anymore”), Conner Smith (“Steal My Thunder” featuring Tucker Wetmore), Thomas Rhett (“Feelin’ Country”), Megan Moroney (“Never Left Me”), Lainey Wilson (“Out Of Oklahoma”), Bailey Zimmerman (“Hell or High Water”), Sam Barber (“Tear Us Apart”), Tyler Childers (“Song While You’re Away”), Tucker Wetmore (“Already Had It”), Wyatt Flores and Jake Kohn (“Before I Do”), and Tanner Adell (“Too Easy”). One day ahead of the soundtrack’s debut, Jelly Roll dropped “Dead End Road.”
