The first round of local yard sales will take place this weekend for Chillicotheâs annual Community Yard Sale Weekend program. The program allows city residents to hold a yard sale without paying the required $5.00 permit fee. A neighborhoodâs yard sale weekend takes place the weekend prior to that neighborhoodâs large item collection week.
The first yard sale weekend, from Friday, May 26th through Sunday, May 28th, is for neighborhoods with Monday trash collection. That means yard sales this weekend will take place in the cityâs east end, in neighborhoodâs east of Watt Street and just north of East Main Street.
There is a garbage collection route map on the cityâs website, chillicotheoh.gov, to help you know which parts of the city will be holding yard sales over the next five weekends. Just go the âDepartmentsâ tab at the top of the page and then choose the âService & Wasteâ option.
The first week for Chillicotheâs Large Item Collection Service begins at the start of next week. Those with Monday trash collection are encouraged to have their items placed on the curb in front of their home by 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 29th.
The full schedule and rules for Chillicothe Large Item Collection and the Community Yard Sale Weekends can be found at Chillicotheoh.gov
