"Healthy Kids Day” at the Fayette County Fair and More by Adena Fayette

Adena Fayette Medical Center is sponsoring a “healthy kids day” at the Fayette County Fair by allowing hundreds of kids free access to the rides Tuesday, July 20.

The first 325 kids ages 2-18, can enter the gates free between 2 and 5 p.m, and will get a wristband for access to the rides until closing, at 11pm. This special admission will be at the main gate off the parking lot, and the front gate off Fairview Avenue. Representatives will be on hand to pass out the tickets.

Also on Tuesday, there will be 100 wristbands for free rides available on a first-come, first-serve basis to junior fair participants who are interested. They can pick up the bands at the junior fair office between 2 and 5pm.

And, Adena Fayette Medical Center is sponsoring the shuttle carts for this year’s fair. The five carts are to shuttle fair-goers around the grounds to their desired locations, and from the parking lots to the grounds. The shuttle carts run from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Adena will also have a tent set up Tuesday in the Midway near the Mahan Building where activities will be held throughout the day. The tent will then be converted into a rest and cooling station for the remainder of the week.
