OhioMeansJobs Career Fair Brings Local Job Seekers In-Person Opportunities

The OhioMeansJobs Career Center at the Community Action Committee of Pike County will be hosting an in-person Career Fair event on Wednesday, May 19th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Multipurpose Building at the Pike County Fairgrounds.

Local businesses from Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Jackson Counties will be present during the event to discuss available positions with job seekers, accept applications and resumes, and arrange interviews. Career opportunities offered range from entry-level to advanced level, in varying salary ranges and benefit options. Tools and resources will be available for job seekers to apply for positions during the event. 

Some of the businesses participating are: Ritchie’s Foods, the Pavilion at Piketon, Bellisio’s Foods, Walmart, The Reserves Network, Allied Universal Security Services, Unity 1 Home Healthcare, Frontier Community Services, Rural King, Staff Source, Goodwill of South-Central Ohio, Par Mar Stores (Valero), Speyside Bourbon Mill, Rumpke, On-Boarding USA (Dupont), Sugar Creek Packaging, Kroger, Pixelle, Community Action Committee of Pike County, and more. 

In addition to the participating businesses, the Workforce & Business Development Programs will be available to provide information for job seekers who are interested in additional training and educational resources to further their career development.

This event offers the first in-person employment event since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. All state and local health mandates will be upheld throughout the event. Masks, social distancing, and sanitation is required by all participants.
