Three Arrested After ODNR Officer Shot in Clinton County

An officer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources was shot Sunday afternoon as he investigated a deer poaching incident.

Wildlife Officer Kevin Behr was shot during the incident in the area of Macedonia Road and Martinsville Road.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office described the injury as serious yet non-life-threatening. Behr was hospitalized in stable condition as of Sunday night.

Deputies along with other ODNR officers and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the area. Three suspects were arrested.

49-year-old Brian Liming of Xenia was charged with Weapons Under Disability, No Deer Permit, and Hunting Without Permission.

35-year-old Thomas Davis of Jamestown was charged with Aiding an Offender.

36-year-old Brian Achtermen of Midland, was charged with No Hunting License and No Deer Permit.
