Monday COVID Updates For Fayette & Highland Counties

Fayette County Public Health reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday to bring the total number of currently ill patients in the county to 63. Since March there’s been a total of 513 cases documented in Fayette County with 440 of those patients now considered recovered. The death toll in connection to the virus now stands at 10.

In Highland County, there are 183 patients currently ill with COVID-19, according to figures released by Highland Public Health on Monday. A total of 645 cases have been recorded in Highland County since the spring, with 450 patients now recovered. The COVID-related death toll in Highland County now stands at 12.

Both Highland and Fayette counties remain at a Level 3, Red, status on the state’s Coronavirus alert map.
