DeWine Issues More COVID Related Health Orders

On a short-term basis, the Ohio Department of Public Health has issued an order through July 15th, allowing for Contact and Non-Contact Competition to resume for all sports if teams agree to all of the guidelines in the order.

Included in those guidelines are things such as:

*During that period, tournaments, games and scrimmages can resume as long as teams agree to new guidelines including testing of all players, coaches and sports staff before travel and competition.

*Additional requirements include daily symptom assessments, mask requirements for athletic trainers while tending to players as well as coaches and officials whenever possible.

*Strict social distancing will be required for players who are not actively engaged in practice or competition. The guidelines also require immediate isolation and medical care for a player who develops symptoms.

*During the one week period, practices and open gyms with another team or club and inter-club/team play are also permitted as long as they follow the same guidelines.
