Greenfield Teen Says She Was Unaware Authorities Were Searching For Her

(24/7 News Source) -- The Highland County Sheriff says the missing 18-year-old woman, who was found over the weekend, claims didn't realize people were looking for her. 

Sheriff Donnie Barrera said Madison Bell was found out-of-state after a six-day search with a man who had been announced as a person of interest. Bell told law enforcement she thought since she was legally an adult, there was no issue with her leaving. He says law enforcement did an an-person follow up interview with Bell to make sure she is alright.

Bell did not notify law enforcement of here whereabouts, but law enforcement found her.

Barrera said his deputies spent around 100-man hours looking for Bell. The sheriff previously stated there would be no charges filed.
