The Fayette County YMCA is growing with their facility expansion expected to be complete later this year.
YMCA Director Doug Saunders says some of the features of their new gym will include a 70 x 50 batting cage and pitchers mound, along with a basketball court. The batting cage will also allow golfers to come in and chip and drive balls.
Expansion also includes a new multi-purpose exercise room.
Saunders says a sizable private donation has made the facility expansion possible at the YMCA located on State Route 41 north of Washington CH.
A mortgage burning is also planned February 13th to ceremonially pay-off the existing YMCA on the Route 41 site- built 13 years ago.
