School District Ruins Snow Days For Students

Administrators at Community High School District 128 in Libertyville, Illinois, just created a new policy that pretty much ruins snow days for students.

For kids who live in northern states, getting a few snow days each year is a great bonus. The kids don’t have to go to school -- and they get to play in the snow. Except at this district, where the high school students will have to study from laptops for five hours during those days.

So, instead of getting snow days, these kids get stuck with “e-learning” days.

It’s nothing short of heartbreaking. And, cruel. (Chicago Tribune)
