"Zombie Eaters": Staring at your device while eating

According to a new survey, 88% of respondents admitted to being “zombie eaters” – meaning, they eat while staring at a screen – whether it’s the television, their phone, tablet or laptop. The survey found that the average American will look at their phone more than two times during a meal. And the average American will only have five “screen-free” meals per week.

More from the survey ... 91% say they watch TV while eating a meal or snack and 49% said they do so regularly. 83% of those surveyed said they’ve had their food go cold while deciding what to watch. And 86% said they are sometimes so preoccupied with their screens that they’ve forgotten to eat. (SWNS)
