The Highland County Sheriff's Office is reporting that escaped jail inmate, 37-year-old Johnny Branham, has been captured.

The Highland County Jail inmate escaped custody while he was being treated at the Highland District Hospital Thursday afternoon. Sheriff Donald Barrera reports that Branham was apprehended in Hamilton County, Friday afternoon.

Branham will be extradited back to Highland County, where he faces additional charges. He was originally jailed on charges of contempt.
