Joanna Gaines Announces Her Surprising Next Project

Ever since Joanna Gaines and Chip Gaines decided to end their beloved show Fixer Upper, fans of the couple have been eagerly awaiting their next project. While they recently announced that they would, in fact, be making a return to TV at some point, it turns out that Joanna's next project is something else entirely.

"Today’s the day! We get to finally share this project the kids and I have been working on!" Joanna wrote on her Instagram, announcing she's releasing a brand new children's book titled We Are The Gardeners. Joanna worked on the book with four of her five kids, Duke (9½), Drake (13), Emmie Kay (8½), and Ella Rose (12), which explores how and why they started a family garden. The four kids, along with their baby brother Crew, even appear on the front cover.

"We wrote this children’s book together to tell the story of our journey in the garden - a story of trying and failing and trying again and never giving up. We hope it inspires you and your little ones to get outside, get your hands dirty, and grow something great," Joanna continued.

"The garden has always been a place that inspires me," Joanna said in the press release for the book, "There's something about digging deep into fresh soil or watching new life burst from what was not long ago just a tiny seed that reinforces what a gift life is."

"I think that's part of why my kids have come to love spending time in the garden just as much as I do," she explained. "It can be a great teacher, if we pause long enough to notice all there is to learn. Where every day can be a lesson in hard work, and sometimes even in failure, but where there's also growth worth celebrating."

We Are The Gardeners is already available for pre-order, so you can make sure you get yourself a copy ASAP. The children's book comes out March 26, 2019. Who's excited?
