The new Miami Trace High School will be ready for students on the first day back from Christmas break.
Superintendent Dave Lewis explains the move. He says they will probably start moving things the week of December 17th, but will try to move bigger items like for Vo Ag and FFA earlier.
The new high school gymnasium won't be ready for the start of basketball season in early December. Lewis says they will probably play some games in the old gym, but expect to take control of the new one in early January.
Lewis goes on to say that the items from the old school could raise funds for the district. He says there will be an auction mid-January, and people will be allowed to get mementos - with demolition probably in early March.
