(24/7 News) -- A Chicago based company is looking to build what would be Ohio's largest solar power generating plant in Highland County. Officials with Hecate Energy said yesterday they want to put the plant near the village of Mowrystown because it is considered the sunniest part of Ohio.
The company wants to use 25-hundred acres of land to construct a 300-megawatt plant whose energy would be connected to the transmission grid.
It is not clear which utility company would use the power but Columbus based American Electric Power has been mentioned as a possible option.
