(24/7 News) -- An eleven-year old girl is expected to recover after being attacked yesterday by a pit-bull mix in Circleville.
Police say the dog managed to get out of its indoor cage and go outside where it lunged at the girl as she tried to secure a back gate for protection. Fire paramedics took the girl to Berger Hospital to be treated for bite wounds.
The dog was later captured by Animal Control Agents with the cooperation of its owner who says it will mostly likely have to be put down.
