Day 1 events has seen several area athletes qualify for next week's state track & field championships.
The Zane Trace Girls 3200 Relay advanced with a fourth place finish at the Muskingum College Regionals. That team is comprised of Abbey Mohan, Hannah Kerr, Taylor Flechtner and Reese Hartsaugh.
Hillsboro's Austin Goolsby won the Boys Pole Vault.
Rayana Burns of Washington CH placed second in the Girls High Jump, while Maria Boldoser of Logan Elm was fourth.
Katie Seyfang of Miami Trace is regional champ in the Girls Discus with Unioto's Autumn Mohan was second.
The Boys Discus champ is Haden Karshner of Logan Elm, with other qualifiers being Draven Stodgel of Hillsboro as runner-up.
